Feel for Graham, Saturday it should be Rawlinson in for Graham and Bird on the bench McCory is a midfielder not a center back.

Appalling injury. Good luck to the lad, hope he recovers quickly , it does nothing for his long term confidence

Very disappointing for Sam and the club, such bad luck for the player. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Increases the pressure on Turner to stay fit - although I’ve not heard anything yet on how bad his injury was on Saturday. Not convinced by McCrory at centre half, so for me it’s a chance for Pierce Bird to reassert himself. Wouldn’t be surprised if we bring another young player in on loan, though.

As well as Bird we also have Declan Dunn and Owen Betts who have played at CB, surely no need to splash the cash on another loaners wages unless we get really desperate?

Personally I'd really really like to see Bird given a chance now, rather than bring someone else in.

If you see someone staggering about on crutches wearing one of them great big plastic boots you can bet they have a ruptured achilles tendon. I tore mine six years ago playing ping-pong with my grandson and it was two weeks in a plaster then six weeks in the boot before it came off, till then I could only remove it to wash my foot. I was in absolute agony when it happened and haven't been daft enough to play ping-pong since. Mind you, I was in my mid-sixties when I did mine, I expect Graham will recover quicker.

I actually would also prefer to see Bird playing I think he has the ball playing attributes that works well under Ardley, why Ardley hasn’t been as positive as the fan base in Birds ability we can only wonder. Maybe it’s his lack of physicality? As he was bullied in his last appearance and was definitely targeted with the long balls. Is this the player that refused a loan move away from the club? Ardley seems to feel we have little cover for the position even with the two solid reserves we think that we have?

Rawlinson I think is a decent replacement but both he and Bakayogo are suspect in possession which isn’t great when your playing out from the back. Though I think both are players above average for their position in this league.
