I suppose there's a chance they could escape relegation but looks unlikely, so maybe an extra deficit wouldn't be an effective punishment?

Sorry Grist but breaking the rules needs dealing with. Doesn’t matter if they hit with another minus 6 points, they broke the rules so hit em and let the EFL show they are also dealing with issues correctly.

What if we decided not to turn out because we had too many players injured/ill? Do you think the EFL would let us off?

That’s the problem with EFL no consistency when it comes to rule breaking
