It should be strikers or midfielders who make them available on the edge of the area, not full backs.

The daft thing is we may have the next Frecks in Wiles or Lyndsey even Crooks but if they are not told to get up to support the forruds we waint have. Crooks cant pass a ball but perhaps warne should be saying your job is to break play up and steam down the middle and getting into the box. He is a big enough unit to be able to do that. Just play to his strengths not his weaknesses.

Maybe so but he was the only player there then run in instead of backtracking

Stated before the season started we will finish around 16th. Poor signings coupled with supporters believing we had to get rid of four poor wingers. How poor would those 4 wingers be now. Warne is shocking in the transfer market and has weakened this team every time the window has been open. Alan Stubbs makes warne look like a novice with the players both have brought in an that’s some statement.

The league is very forgiving in my opinion which translates to a riskier style of football paying dividends .

You are far better losing and winning than collecting a succession of draws as Sunderland found to their cost last season and so far this season it seems .

We played into Shrews bury,s hands today by allowing them to get 11 men behind the ball with ease.
Because they are well organised and good at what they do we were always outnumbered in the last third.
So unless we have players who are fabulous passers of the ball and others with excellent movement we are unlikely to break these teams down as we witnessed today.

So if we don't have the quality to break them down we have to stop these teams getting 11 men behind the ball to even up the numbers in the last third.
As others have said, to do this we have to move the ball a lot quicker when we win possession to stop these teams regrouping in numbers.
We only need to go one up by doing this and then the game will open up naturally as they search for an equaliser.
A few swift breakaways wouldn't go amiss either.

I was led to believe we could do the bombing on at pace, swamping the opposition game but this hasn't happened.
We need to start doing this otherwise it's going to be a frustrating season at home.

Easy solution to our problems....over to you Paul.

To be fair there would be a higher chance of Frecks keeping Vassell company rather than being on the pitch.

Yes he did well today because we played into his hands!
However, when we played Shrewsbury at Wembley Ryan William's came on as sub and ran the legs off him. Unfortunately we didn't have anyone today who could do that 🙁

What we actually said is "where is a Frecks when you need one?" Generic rather than specific 😉
