Motherwell beck to winning ways at McDiarmid

Motherwell earned three points in Perth thanks to Devante Cole's first half goal. The margin should have been bigger but the win was secured. - External Link

To pick up three points on a day we were not firing on all cylinders can’t be too bad. We gained points on Hibs, Hearts, Livingston,Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, St.Johnstone, Celtic, St.Mirren and Ross County. Bigger concern for me is red cards which we could pay severely for later in the season

I only saw the first half but that was a solid enough performance for me...they were better box to box but I thought we were defensively sound and had three glorious chances.

I listened to Tommy Wright after the game claiming that his side should have won the game. Though we were not great, they never looked like winning.

Tommy Wright's jacket on a shoogly peg, hence his bluster at the end of the game I think. As much as I'm pleased with the result, I keep reflecting on last week's loss against County at FP. Damn that performance.
