A very tough October coming up....

Just when we thought we weren't ticking over okay, well up comes a very demanding set of fixtures. These will show just how much we intend to get back amongst the front runners. Of the 5 league games we simply have to be looking to take at least 9 of the 15 points on offer if we want to be up or around the leading bunch running towards the Xmas period.

    5th October Coventry (h)

    12th Blackpool (a)

    19th Oxford (h)

    23rd Ipswich (a)

    26th Wycombe (h)

Throw in the EFL trophy game against Doncaster at home on the 8th October and I think you'll agree this is a very tough month indeed.

Its a downer to think what calibre of player we had in evans's wembley side compared to this..tavernier, frecks, pringle, morgan, agard to name a few, and even alex revell who used to get slated for not scoring enough but had a workrate that would put this lot to shame...ah well time will tell...

IF Warne has any sense, he will surely go with two up front with both Hastie and Osolunde on the wings. Yes Osolunde on the right wing.

Drop Crooks and have McDonald and Lindsay in the middle.

Back four of Mattock, Robertson, Ike and Jones.

Wiles as first sub and for crying out loud, give Lamy a bloody run if only for one half.

What about going with 3 centre backs. Robertson, Icky and have Wood in a sweeper role like we did with Ajayi last season, that would give Mattock and Olusunde free range to get forward and make us more solid at the back.

Oh oh, you've probably alerted IBS' sensors to the 'Wood' name, get ready for the abuse.

    Good call though Loyal.

Does not matter about team selection if we run about like head less chickens & don’t have a plan.
