R.I.P. Ginger ... He played down the Imp in the sixties along with Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton ..They had trouble with their Mics ,so Ginger did a fantastic 30 min solo on the drums before it was sorted out ..great memories ..

    .

was a regular dog walker near the Kings Road - looking like a Catweazle with a pack of six or so following along, the image was distinctive.

8th April 1967 Alfie. I missed it, but Steve Chapples, who's published a sort of unofficial history of th'Imp, said one of the support band told him that Ginger was so legless backstage that he had to be carried onto the stage where he slumped over his drum kit. When they started playing Ginger kicked into life like a Duracell bunny, played like a man possessed for the entire set, then collapsed again and had to be carried back off at the end.

    RIP Ginger, you feckin genius.
