Burnley have signed Connor Barron. Great wee player who is good on the ball and off the ball. My thinking is he will get loaned out to Dundee or be a squad player until he breaks into the team.

I'd be surprised if we loaned him out, should be at least good enough for our Championship squad, if not starting.

Perhaps the agreement is Dundee get him on loan or Burnley are buying players for Dundee that they may want in the future that have potential. Don’t know what the agreement is with loans and signings between Burnley and Dundee.

Kelty Hearts are my team but I have retired to Stonehaven so have got involved with them doing Voluntary work. Barron was once on loan at Kelty for a short period of time.


Dodgson started awful at Dundee but was playing out of position. He was back up to Owen Beck who I reckon will replace Robertson in a few seasons. Beck has been injured but Dodgson has done a very good job recently and I reckon he will get a chance in the Burnley first team.

Mellon is a frustrating player from what I’ve seen but scores when ever he plays. The team is perhaps not built around him anymore so he doesn’t get the same chances at goal. Costelloe looks decent but played at RWB so maybe doesn’t shine too much.

My Dundee pal has told me that Dundee want Costelloe back but Dodgson is going to another English championship team. Dodgson seems good going forward but no so good at defending
