Bloody hell, Tusk has spoilt the fun, he says they'll have to consult, it's not down to Druncker. And I suppose technically they can't refuse us one until we actually ask. The seeds have been sown though, I'm hoping Macron chips in something similar to back up his mate, if they make it clear there will be no extension this will sail through parliament.

"Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, the French President said “I don’t think a new extension should be granted”. Many EU leaders are less than thrilled at the prospect of an uncooperative UK sticking about past October and into the term of the new Commission."

You can always rely on the French, Macron wants out and no mistake.

Is it a better/same/worse deal than Theresa's - which you hated Sinkov?

It seems better to me 59, I am losing the will to live over Brexit though, and I can't be arsed to read the actual document. But the backstop has gone so that's a massive improvement, Starmer is moaning that it's worse, but if the Chief Remoaner is saying it's worse, I don't need to read it, that convinces me it must be better.
