    Interesting comments

From their fans. They're saying the same about us as we said about Lincoln /Shrewsbury /Tranmere.

    Absolutely loved this one:-

    It’s league 1

Ugly performances are the norm, not the exception

It's a great league for the likes of ourselves , unfortunately the success isn't rewarded and you have to play in the god forsaken league also known as the championship .

I think there are some veiled compliments in there ……..somewhere...……... although this one's the best

their manager ex Shrewsbury/Ipswich is a Neil Warnock clone without a syrup.
I think he /she is referring to Paul Hurst.

They have fallen in to the trap that many sourpuss fans do when they've got beaten on their own patch and assume we play like that every week.
Horses for courses and it was an ugly away win. They've forgotten we put six past Bolton and four past Cov with attractive football at home

    "Dirty, cheating, time wasting XXXXXXs

Thought the ref was also shocking and just fell for it the whole game"

Virtually what we said word for word in the car on the way home.

How many times did their physio's come on?

They came on you donkey shagger because your lot were kicking the feck out of ours hence Crooks having to leave the field through injury for a bad tackle that went unpunished!

Make that 6 wins and 3 draws against your lot in our last 9 meetings

I didn't think the ref was poor at all. Did ok.
It's a cheap shot to blame others. They lost

I think all football fans of every team in the world has to realise that Hypocrisy rules. We and every fan of any football club, berate the other team when they either win or draw at our place and usually pull the other team to bits about time wasting and slowing the game down , among other things.
However, when our team win away from home playing like that, we say it's winning ugly, so I assume it's OK if your team does it away from home, but not if a team does it to us at ours, but basically it's just finding a way to win away from home at any cost sometimes.

I think there's always an element of truth in what supporters of a team we've beat are saying. They've seen the game too. Just as we feel our complaints about Lincoln etc are valid. Re. Lincoln/Shrewsbury/Tranmere we saw them as horrible, cheating, time wasting anti-football teams. We also acknowledged that they were entitled to play that way and how effective it was against us while wishing we might be able to do the same to other teams.

Their fans all went home happy having witnessed what they would have seen as almost the perfect away performance.
