Postmen in Guernsey also wear shorts all year round. However, they only work a four hour day then knock off and get paid for the eight hours. Unbelievably, they then return to work around 4pm on overtime. These ridiculous hours mean they earn more than £50,000 plus a year, for doing little more than a 40 hour week. And they get health insurance, pension and many other benefits. And, the worse thing is, the business says the market is hard. They need someone in there to manage the place, get rid of the deadwood and reduce the wage bill. Sorry for the rant.
