    Postmen in shorts.

Today you see postmen doing their round in shorts, even in a January blizzard when it's about minus 5. This puzzled me, i thought it was something to do with general health and blood circulation.
Then i noticed they all had leg tattoos. I suppose they think a tattoo makes them look tough, but how impressed by them the family Rottweiler or German Shepherd are remains to be seen.
FFS lads cover up, nobody wants to see your fat, stumpy, hairy legs, even if you do have a nice picture of Mickey Mouse on them.
On the other hand, it should be compulsory for Postwomen to wear shorts.

I wear shorts most of the year.

I had a business meeting yesterday with forum member Stripes....he’s a fine fellow by the way......and I wore shorts for that as I rightly deduced that he would have poor sartorial standards like myself,I was proved right 😆

I was with financial lenders and solicitors today and I reluctantly “dressed up” by putting on an old pair of jeans for this more formal setting.

My financial advisor then turned up in a tailored shirt, denim shorts, thigh length stocking type socks and loafers!

He looked like he’d just arrived from the Rocky Horror Show!

He’s just had a knee reconstruction and couldn’t wear trousers!

I wish I’d turned up in my budgie smugglers now!

Lol Mick you are such a hoot! I have worn shorts for decades but now find I am glad when the cold weather comes and I can wear "proper" trousers. I even wore shorts in -14 some years ago. I'm getting old now and I fear that common sense has hit me like a house brick on the head.

I'm still in my shorts, tee shirt and crocs. Had a lovely afternoon at Mosely Old Hall, the house that saved the King , our young great nieces and nephew loved it playing in the woods and going round the old house. Our first visit, just of the M54, nice hot soap in the tearoom.

Good place, haven't been for ages, will have to go again. Next time you are there try Black and White farm. It was a house that offered to shelter him before he went to Moseley instead. We stopped there for tea when the kids were growing up, the cafe is the old milking parlour, and the bloke beghind the counter gave us a free tour of the house, upstairs, downstairs and all the out buildings.
There is a good car park and lots of farm animals for the kids, Ducks, Geese, Chickens, Turkey's, Sheep, Pigs and Goats. Also a good wooded walk, i think you can walk to Moseley from there but don't take my word for it.
Boscobel is another good place while you are in the area.

Postmen (and women) in shorts. My son’s a postie in Bristol. According to him it all started as an exercise to see who could go the longest before having to wear trousers. Needless to say this has moved on to a situation where he, or she, has to wear shorts full time or be regarded as a wimp!
Lord help us if this is the mentality of our postal services......mind you that’s society today for you!
As for me......shorts in the spring, summer and autumn.....jeans in the winter!
