Forget celebrities, although social media does tend to make their views more important than others, but that's down to the sad b@stards who hang on their every word more than the celebrities themselves. This whole argument that anyone who drives a car or boards a plane, but complains about a lack of respect for the environment has to be a hypocrite is pathetic and annoying in equal measures. To make a difference the actions have to come from governments, but most of them will put money first.

More "celebrities speaking out about climate change" today I see, albeit they're hiding behind a cloak of fake modesty by saying they are hypocrites themselves. Nothing to do with getting their names in the news columns or promoting their 'brand' then!

Seriously, whatever your views on this or any other issue, don't you get sick of 'celebrities' who feel that somehow their view is so much more worthy of note than anybody else's? Not to mention that the positions they take are often hypocritical as they now admit!

From all sides of the argument, I think there are views being expressed by supposed nobodies like us on this thread that are more worthy of a modicum of attention than the self-obsessed rubbish spouted by these sport/film/television media whores.

I cannot believe any of them until they have joined the MeToo texting rebellion, surely at least 20 of them had their nipple or cock accidentally touched when they were 14 and in the changing rooms?.....I know it happened to me, and I´m not even famous!!....our PE master was a fanatic for spanking bottys for the slightest infraction.....those were the days!

I see there was an incident on the underground this morning, a couple of protesters climbed on a train roof and held it up for 20 minutes. Meanwhile more and more passengers arrived and eventually some lost patience and dragged one off the roof and laid into him.
It was bound to happen sooner or later when crowds of people are stopped from getting to work etc.
