I'm always trumpeting promoting from within exile and very keen to see ambitious people fulfill their potential .

There is nobody knows these young players like they do .

Number of completed passes

How many tackles , headers and shots on target etc etc .

You could argue Cryne and Beane lack experience but hey ho that's not an issue is it with this policy behind them , besides young Cryne's built two championship sides so far so he does have the experience .

It ain't the record successive wins the A's had that year , it ain't the fact the A's never even contested the world series never mind win it , no it's the last 10 minutes of the film .

Beane gets a phone call from the Boston Red Sox owner to go and see him for a chat .

JJ Henry makes him an offer , a fecking multi million dollar offer to manage the Sox , one of the biggest clubs in baseball .

He turns it down and goes back to the two bob Oakland A's .

So how much do you really believe in this thing then Billy ?

You believe in it enough to not to put it right there where it really matters at the sharp end where expectations are different at the Boston Red Sox than they are at the Oakland A's .
