    One year ago today.

Luton Town were 10th in League1 and 11 points behind leaders Portsmouth, Luton went on to win the league.
We are currently 10th and 9 points behind Ipswich....can we do what Luton did?.
Only Barnsley out of the top 6 exactly one year ago got promoted.
A lot can happen , and change between now and next May.

They also lost their manager in January to Stoke and put mick Harford in charge.

    Careful what you wish for.

Still early days - would rather start slower and finish the season strongly

It's strange, this promotion we crave int it? We know we can't compete in the Championship and would spend yet another full season mostly getting beat, home and away, paying a small fortune for the privilege of witnessing it. Yet the appeal of seeing the club's good name in amongst one of Europe's top divisions outweighs the joys of being a respected League 1 side.

Add on top of that the possibility of taking less than 10,000 to a Wembley play off final and it's a true poison chalice.

    An absolute Pyrrhic victory

Yes there'd definitely be a real sense of 'here we are again' if we got to Wembley, with a little less enthusiasm each time we go.
Winning the playoffs is great but I think I'd swap all the drama for an auto spot for once.
