Very interesting! Found my old house on Badsley street Clifton on an old map followed it down Gilberthorpe street and very strange to see East Dene and Herringthorpe missing, just 2 hospitals and couple of farms and cottages (one still stands on Browning road) and faint sketches of proposed streets.
Not come across this before. Very interesting. If you are interested in using maps to see how places change over time Google "maps.nls.uk" then Side by Side viewer.
You can get side by side maps of the same place in different years.
