Thread: o/t It's time to ban the barbaric sport of boxing...

    Lots of dangerous sports out there that end up with fatalities. Boxing is one of them but statistically not the most dangerous.

    Suppose the fact that every boxers objective is to render theit opponent unconscious makes people feel a bit uncomfortable.

    Fact is all boxers know the risks and choose to pursue this career so why should anyone feel the need to see it banned.

    Boxing has without a doubt saved many young people from drifting into a life of crime, potentially serious crime and also given people the chance to earn money and a lifestyle they could never have dreamed of.

    Fact is if boxing was banned it would just go underground and many more people would suffer serious life changing injuries or die.

    Banning the sport would be an insane act of the highest order and make no sense whatsoever.

    They could have headguards though like the Olympics.

    And fewer/ shorter rounds.
