o/t It's time to ban the barbaric sport of boxing...

another death of a young fighter.

In an age when people get militant over transgender toilets and politically incorrect posts on Facebook , there is barely a murmur against the bloody spectacle of boxing.

How longer must we tolerate this brutal business?

The issue is it wouldn’t cease to exist it would just go underground.
Actually bare knuckle unlicensed boxing is growing every week so it would just increase.

It’s tragic when anyone loses their life.
    Thoughts to Everyone affected.

People die every minute doing what they love. Be it rock climbing,. Playing footy, driving cars around a track. Jogging ect.
Not like you idiot to want to suppress people's opinion.

    What about MMA?

And even though wrestling is fake, loads of wrestlers have died due to the steroids they take to get big.

Must say I tend to agree with the OP.
I've never understood how something can be called a sport when the sole intention is to injure your opponent.

It's choice - they don't have to do it at all. Drive anything underground and it becomes more dangerous - what next? stop BKB at the Appeby Horse Fair?

Studies appear to show that football and running are more dangerous than boxing:
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-injuries.html Should we ban football?

Professor David Nutt was fired for publishing research that showed MDMA/Ecstasy and LSD were less dangerous than Alcohol and horse riding. Should we be banning alcohol and horse riding too?

If you look at unnecessary deaths globally ridiculous belief in an imaginary man in the sky causes millions of deaths. Maybe we should ban that?

MDMA and LSD is quite a strange mix. Horse riding and alcohol should never go together.
