    Next up - Aberdeen

Motherwell will return to action after the international break to face Aberdeen at Fir Park on Saturday. The meeting of third and fourth in the league presents Stephen Robinson's men with a great opportunity to consolidate their excellent start to the season.

Is it not Lewis Ferguson who is suspended?

We're not winning this one. This is exactly the type of game where Motherwell traditionally fail to deliver the goods in, ie. with a huge incentive for us to win and put a bit of daylight between ourselves and Aberdeen and go seven points clear in third.

    2-1 Aberdeen.

Would love to argue with that, but based on the content ... it's probably correct

We've both won and lost plenty of these games, our seasons of finishing second and third were hardly accomplished by not winning big matches.

At the minute you'd still think we've overperfomed this season and Aberdeen will comfortably finish above us come May, so from that view modest expectations would seem appropriate. I'd be very happy with a point.

Predict a comfortable home win as we’re the team on form. However agree come May’20 they may finish above .. time will tell.

We were on form when Ross County came visiting. It's the Motherwell way. But think we will win 🤞

Score first and the pressure will mount against their manager and team from their own fans. I hope if we do score first we then don’t retreat into our own half and try and defend/ hold out for a 1-0 victory because we usually throw away points when we try this ploy

Comfortable home win 👍.....but if a team is struggling they just have to look at the fixture list to see when they next appear at FP......we usually handout points free of charge!!!
