    Perfect heart stopping chips....

For an healthier approach use red potatoes. Peel and cut in chips or if you prefer, pre wash leave skins on and cut into chips.

Set your oven accordingly. Par boil in hot water for 5 minutes then drain. Transfer to baking tray and Lightly spray with Low fat oil ( fry light etc) and place in oven for 10 minutes. Take out of oven and turn the chips and lightly spray again and cook for a further 10 minutes. Much more healthier. 👍

But nowhere near as nice Brin! Had chippy tea earlier for first time in yonks. Got them from Marina on Green Lane, Rawmarsh. Portion sizes were phenomenal and fish were a foot long. Best chippy around these parts by a mile. Put me in a food coma for an hour afterwards.

I go there myself quite a bit when I'm over visiting my mum who lives round the corner.
In fact an old neighbour from when I lived on green lane works in there.
    Very good teatime specials too.

It's a bit weird for me going in there, particularly the takeaway part , as it brings back so many memories of drinking in what was the tap side of the Crown.
Happy days happy daze as the lads from Moulin Rouge used to say
