Match Thread vs Belper Town 19.10.19

An enjoyable cup tie, which if you view as 11 v 11 we should have won by two or three goals, but given that Belper were three levels below us they did themselves proud on and off the pitch. They caused us problems in the first and last few minutes, but for the rest of the game they couldn't get out of their own half. They defended well and made it hard for us to break them down, and due to a bit of luck and a very generous referee they managed to stay in the game until the end. Job done from our perspective, the main thing is that we are in the hat for the first round draw.

Perfect summary.

I was never truly concerned that we wouldn't win and thought we showed good patience by sticking to the game plans and not allowing the to really frustrate us.

Certainly was, the only way a defender could stop that chip was with his hand. Quick thinking there Booty, reminds me of when I was a fighter pilot.
