Away to QotS - Last of the first quarter.

    Hello everyone,
Last game of the first quarter away to Queen of the South. 18 points a quarter already achieved, but we should not be sitting back at what can be a happy hunting ground.

If everyone is fit from last few games,
    Siegrist,
    Smith, Brown, Reynolds, Sporle.
    McMullan, Butcher, Stanton, Pawlett,
    Shankland, Appere.

Watson, Deniz, Harkes, Chalmers, Smith, Clark, King.

I see no difference between Harkes and Stanton, but i think that Stanton has a good scoring record against Queen of the South so just edges it.

Smith has to be in his right position, but would prefer Sporle at LB got some protection that i dont think Pawlett can give him. Cant think of another fit enough player who would give that just now.

Agree Smith HAS to start at RB, to start him as LB at Alloa was one of the worst managerial decisions RN has made

I think it was wrong too but he also played left back against Morton did he not? If so, can understand Robbie keeping it the same.

I would also point out that pretty well all of us called out for Sporle to be dropped after the Hearts League Cup game where, let’s face it, he looked miles off the pace. Therefore bearing this in mind and in the absence of the injured Robson, one can only imagine the reaction had we lost to Alloa with Sporle parachuted back in at left back so in hindsight I’m not sure what else RN could have done bar put Smith to LB. As TTT points out it was more than good enough to take care of Morton and really should also have been so for Alloa. Having said that, Sporle has now found his feet a bit with his games against Arbroath and Alloa so I would expect him now to be ready to be reinstated back to LB to allow Smith back to his normal position.

When you put together a makeshift team and it wins 6-0, your gonna be inclined to think that same makeshift team will be good enough the following week against a bunch of part timers, so Neilson can't really be blamed too much when they were so good the week before. That saying, Sporle at left back & Smith at right back this week please.

A chance for the team to show us if they can go away from home and win.

Hopefully Butch will be back fit and doing what he does in midfield. But they ALL need to be focussed on Saturday; from the 'keeper through to the strikers, they all need to be getting stuck right in and driving the team to a victory.

Said it before and will say it again, they need to be “on it” from the off, and not the tippy tappy p!sh across the back, inviting the opposition on to us (as we have done and lost (twice)).

Nothing like a glass half empty ! He hasn't scored , his confidence will be well down , he will snatch at everything and continue his vein of non form................

Hud on................ yi might be right ...........hat trick

Hopefully not , they rely on him a lot, and if he , and the team ain't clicking , should benefit us .

In saying that, if we go for it early doors ( as we always should imo ) we can get a good win away from home.

    Bring it on!
