So how many racist incidents have there been at football this weekend?

    Bristol
    Rangers
    Sampdoria
    Yeovil

    and counting.

As any media studies student knows the media creates the news not just reports it.

So before the Bulgaria game the media sensationalise the behaviour of a few idiots. This attracts more idiots to the game....who are now aware that they have power to disrupt the game because of England players giving ill advised interviews about "walking off the pitch" beforehand. Then there is the very predictable chanting at the match and Englands response, and the massive media coverage about it.

Hence this weekend every bozo in Europe now realises they can get headlines and disrupt games. Now because of this the media will hype up these incidents and say "we have a massive problem with racism"....and the media start the whole cycle again.

Yes there are a few racist dic k heads at the odd game ....but the situation has improved enormously over the years. But now thanks to the media.....we have a problem that is growing not decreasing, which they the media have created.

IBS, yes this one was very distasteful by all accounts, enough in fact to stop the game. You're right in the fact that the media will boost this and there will be some knuckle draggers who will think it's okay to get match abandoned.

If they catch them, 'Jail them!' That will send out a sharp short shock to their system.

It’s a problem that will never be completely eliminated.

The problem with the media getting the sheep bleating will have the end result of the bleating attracting the wolves.
