Light at the end of the Black Hole?

Our Under-23 team came from behind to beat Barnsley 2-1 this afternoon with both goals coming from 16 year old Lewis Richardson in the 2nd half, when our performance was vastly improved after a below-par first half.

We have now accumulated 18 points from the 10 games played and have yet to be defeated in the League.
This win sees us go to the top of the League, even though Nottingham Forest could regain top place in their game this evening. The only drawback is that we have played more games than the teams just below us. We have won 4 and drawn 6 games and have only conceded 10 goals in the 10 games.

We have a relatively young squad and today's team was Lukas Jensen, Ryan Cooney, Teddy Perkins, Scott Wilson, Ali Koiki, Ne-Jai Tucker, Adam Phillips, Christian N’Guessan, Josh Benson, Lewis Richardson, Rob Harker.

Subs: George McMahon, Anthony Glennon, Mace Goodridge, Tunde Bayode, Joel Mumbongo.

The team featured 1 x 16 year old, 1 x 17 year old and 5 x 19 year olds with two other 19 year old subs.
Time will tell whether or not these lads will make the grade, however, they are certainly trying hard.

First goal was offside, however, it was not given, therefore a goal was scored ---just like the good old days ---some you win ---some you lose!

Alf, I have been cruising the seven seas for 5 weeks to make up for not having had a holiday since September 2018. Moving house and my charity work took its toll last year and the break has been great with great times in Canada, USA, Spain, Madeira and the Canary Islands.
Ready for the Chelsea game on Saturday!

Welcome back to the real world eh Sub, me I'm sticking to non league, after a shocking 18 months there seems to be a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for Clitheroe.
