If Palace want him we need to accept the development fee and move on. You cant win them all with youths or indeed at any level. Need to seriously consider not taking any players from that scumbag agent in future and warning existing players via email that he is not welcome.

We offered him a fair contract and he wants to go and try something else...fair play to him, a big risk to take on his behalf but we will take the money and get someone else in. No issues, his sale will affect us 0%!

Happened so many times with the haircut100 kids, get a bit of attention from down south then in their minds eye they are seasoned professionals. Three years later they turn up at st mirren or lower league outfit in darkest Slovakia or somewhere.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, however, it is easy to read into this that the start of season offer has got his agent frothing for his cut. Agents imo will always choose a pay day in front of what's best for their client. I realise that the McLean era of management style had to change but JYM was also correct in saying that agents take out of football and put nothing back in.

I guess some agents do and some don't. Scott certainly seems to getting bad advice in this case though.

He should bin his agent if that is the case.

Silly laddie giving up on the chance to improve at United and possibly see that United get something back for his development.

What he is doing is proving a valuable lesson to our other youngsters. He may well turn out to be brilliant but he has made it a hell of a lot more difficult by trying to force a move and wanting more money. He is now not playing football at a time when he should be developing the most, not the smartest thing to do! Playing football, working hard and a want to improve is what builds a great footballer. His and his agents attitute will only do him harm in the long run...but as I said before, we should get rid, get some cash, free up a wage and get a hungry young player in to replace him. We will not miss him because he has not given anything to united to miss.
