    Humble pie moments

What's your humble pie moment this season.

Mine is Elghazi and Hourihane. I didn't think they would good enough for the premier league and I was wrong. Possibly Davies too. He looks like a bit of a monster when he comes on.

No humble pie yet Bongo. A few have pleasantly surprised me though. I was a little worried about; SJM and his yellow card count (unfounded so far). Also the historically non-prolific Wesley, but his goal ratio is good so far.

Still not sure about AEG, Frustrating, erratic, lazy, moody but on occasion, laddled with brilliance. 27 crosses and 3 assists, 21 shots and 2 goals. Can we really afford to carry players in this league?

Still a little concerned about starting with CH. With 20 crosses and only 1 assist 1 goal from 9 shots. Still gives away silly fouls in costly areas (BHA). Runs out of gas but I would want him for the last half hour. 100% worth his place in the matchday squad. These are just PL stats. I’m sure CH is worth his weight in gold, spirit wise, and that is the part of his game that cannot be underestimated.

Davis was always a monster, with a powerful, if inaccurate left foot. Not sure what can be expected from him in 2-minute cameos though. I feel for the bloke.

Overall, with a few bumps in the road, silly points dropped and VAR, my glass is still, very much half full.

I thought we have looked a bit too open at times and would get picked off but we've given everyone a game so far except Palace away.

I'm also pleasantly surprised at how the likes of Taylor have improved in a full pre-season vs what we saw of him early on last year.

Still not convinced AEG is worthy of his place, we look effective with a 3 of CH,Jack and SJM

Same... I did say I wanted Maupay over Wesley but I also said that goals need to come from the Midfield, which they are doing. And I believe Wes has scored more than Maupay so far.
