Hopefully we can keep our recent good form going and get a result against a decent Inverness side. It’s good to see players who were written off far too soon by some supporters proving their doubters wrong. Long may it continue.

Another big game for Queens and an interesting fixture list on Tuesday with the 3 teams immediately below is us in this extremely tight league - Morton, Dunfermline and Alloa all at home. Three points would be a great result to continue our wee unbeaten run.

Yes FT a continuation of the recent good run will do wonders for the teams morale but ICT are no one's fools so we need to bring our A game tonight under the floodlights. Looking forward to this and Mon the South.

I stand corrected Bagapapa. That really is a fantastic effort from all involved. People of Dumfries please take note

Disappointing result tonight despite having more than twice the number of shots compared with the visitors we simply did not work their goalkeeper enough with Dobbie being the most culpable in that department.

Spot on Spike - Inverness were no mugs but Queens had lots of chances mostly as you say falling to Sir Stephen who was back to his earlier season habit of dragging his shots wide of the goals. But to be fair the Highlanders got stuck right in and won the physical battle hands down against our more skilfull players.

I wouldn't mind some of their pace though as it at times was breathtaking. Not a bad side.

Can't really comment on the game as a whole, because I could only get to Palmerston for the last half an hour. There was one really nice piece of play which involved a skewed shot from Dobbie, - but apart from that there was no real imagination shown to try and break down a resolute (and as you suggest Spike) pacey defence.

One thing I was desperately disappointed in was Queens' habit of punting the high ball to Dobbie et al, - which was made even worse when Jack Hamilton was substituted! Perhaps when the team looks at the video, they might question that tactic against a strong and very tall defence?

Agree Jardi, punting high balls was easy meat for the ICT back line, playing it on the deck and trying to turn them would have been more effective with the pace of El Bak, Murray, Oliver and the skill of Dobbie. In the end I had a feeling that we got what we deserved from the game by persisting in such tactics.
