    Too critical???

Second visit to Tannadice this season. I’ve been a fan since the sixties so have seen the the good, the bad and the ugly. Today, in the GF with my son and grandson and saw united win 2-0 to go top of the league. Not the best game I’ve ever seen. The constant criticism was “get the ball up the park”, “ffs mcmullan “ etc etc. We kept looking at each other in disbelief. If I was a season ticket holder I could live with a 2-0 victory at home every home game even if it wasn’t the best entertainment. What are the expectations of these critics? I saw shankland make a mistake and give away a throw in and get a round of applause for his effort and endeavour. If that had been mcmullan he would have been on the end of some abuse. Definitely sitting in different seats next visit. Side to side passing at the back can be frustrating but if that is the only option rather than a punt can we not show some patience and wait for an opening? It’s going to take hard graft and sometimes winning dirty to get out of this league but come the end of the season if we do get promoted then today will be forgotten.

The GF is famous for moaner, always has been. Don't get me wrong, they are all over but I think there is a greater density there.

Today was ok first half, poor second half

A win is all that matters for me in this league though so I'll take that all season, can't argue with the home form so far, 5 out of 5 scoring at least 2 in each, 7 in a row going back to last season and 12 wins in last 13

Last two games away were terrible and must address that asap

I agree with your sentiment, I'm not someone who berates players, but its human nature that it's a lot easier to be tolerant if you are only watching the team occasionally, but if you are watching the same mistakes/performances week in and week out, it's inevitable fans are going to be less tolerant.

There were plenty of occasions today when forward passes were on, but players chose under no pressure chose to go back or side ways. McMullan works hard, but at times his poor technique/decision making takes your breath away, and not in a good way!

I'm guessing as you've only been to 2 home games this season you haven't watched Utd away from home? If you had witnessed the utter p1sh that's been on display for weeks you may understand why folk are critical.

If it wasn't for the abuse there would be zero noise at some home games. Some people just want to hear their own voice and let everyone else around them hear how knowledgable they are on everything futba 😳😳 ( particularly in GFL) screaming at players about 100 yards away (as if they can hear them and would take any notice anyway!) commonly known throughout Dundee’s housing schemes as PRIX

I’ve seen the away games on tv and that was on the back of my first game at Tannadice where united won 6-0 v Morton so I do get the frustration of being a united fan. Those “performances “ were shocking/embarrassing and not acceptable. But I’d rather be sitting top and frustrated than mid table. My son commented yesterday that ET lower was like a library yesterday. I stopped renewing my season ticket for ET lower the season after relegation.

Don’t know about George Fox but ET lower was quiet yesterday as naebody seemed to be watching the match but were mair concerned with what was an ‘acceptable’ time to phuck off and start queuing for Derby tickets - all very surreal.
