    Lessons from the past

The Venkys will NOT sack the manager because of some fans discontent..the snake Kean got it big style but still kept his job as did the wretched Coyle so it is better to save your energies for something else. Mowbray is having a bad patch agreed but he does not deserve to be vilified alongside the aforementioned. He will know when it is time to move on and I personally think we owe him enough to let him make the choice. Let's hope things turn around but if not then we should roll with it and see what happens. Football is a funny old game and we ain't done yet.

I worry they will go for the cheap option if Tony decided to walk in the next few days. He will be welcomed at Middlesbrough who will part company with Woodgate shortly.
I think we could end up with Venus being kept around to support Johnson who will be given the first team managers role.

Don't worry about things you have no control of...it will make you ill.

I will continue to be boring and repetitive on this.
I don't believe in the myth of the manager at all, so I am always sceptical when saviours are suggested.
The classic current example of how managers are only as good as their present or last job has to be Roy Hodgson.
From his long career and numerous jobs, do we conclude he is one of the "good" managers or one of the "bad" ones?
In a sane world, there is no straight answer, although he is clearly a "good" one again at the moment!
Given that he is just one example against many, I can't believe that the media and so many fans continue to buy into this idea that "It's all down to the manager."!!

I meant "amongst" - not "against".

    I agree.
The sheer contempt being showered on TM on some fan-sites is staggering.
