Brave Motherwell lose to a late Ibrox goal

Motherwell came within ten minutes of taking a point at Ibrox but ultimately lost 2-1 to Rangers. Devante Cole opened the scoring but goals conceded late in each half resulted in a home win. - External Link

    Brave? BRAVE?? F***ING BRAVE!!!!???!!!

That's the biggest problem we have at the club right there. We excuse any sort of defeat, especially to one of the Old Firm, as brave as long as it's only by one goal.

And that is why we have a loser mentality as wide as the Clyde running right through the middle of us, because we accept utter ****e and meekly shrug off us blowing great opportunities to get a big result like today. We were anything but brave today, especially in the second half, we sat in and tried to play for a 1-1 draw from the 45th minute, inviting them onto us and hoping that they wouldn't score without trying to win the game ourselves. That is not brave, that's just naive and suicidal.

If we as a club ever want to achieve anything of note in the game ever again, like winning a trophy or finishing high up in the league then we need to stop trying to sugarcoat gutless performances today by trying to tell ourselves that it was 'brave'. It was anything but.

Given that we lost 7-1 on the last visit I'd say this was a huge improvement. We got the lead and got within 10 minutes of a point against a team with a budget we could only dream about. That's why they got a standing ovation at the end of the game.

I truly despair. I really do. You would think we were some seaside league nomarks the way some of our fans talk.

7-1, 2-1. Yes it's an improvement but still gets us no points. frustrating when you go a goal up then give one away in the 45th minute then lose another 10 mins from time from a set piece. A point was there for the taking today but because of slack defending i feel we kind of threw it away.
