Never met him but always came across as a decent guy. I'm pleased we still have Duke's bar as a means of remembering him.

I never met Steve but I did meet his Mum.
My dear departed Mum was in hospital in a bad way. Steve's mum was in the next bed.
The lasses had been chatting about their respective sons' love of the Millers. Steve had already passed away at that time.
My ma couldn't wait to introduce me when I visited.
Steve's Mum was a massive help to my own Mum whilst they were both in the ward and she chatted to me for ages about Steve.
She was immensely proud of him and was very moved at the turnout at his funeral. lovely lady.
