Brexit has revealed the charade at Westminster for what it is. 600 odd MP's who can barely articulate an argument, are creaming the taxpayer for every penny they can squeeze.
    Banksy nails it...

The Chorley lad has made a good start anyway, Remainers wanted an amendment to lower the voting age and allow European citizens to vote in a GE, Bercow would have been receptive but Hoyle wouldn't wear it. Good man.

I think that at 16 years old most are too young to have an informed opinion for voting, but on the other hand if they are old enough to get a job and pay taxes then they should be allowed their say as they are contributing to the costs.

    "No taxation without representation"

But it was Bercow who didn't allow the amendments on voting age and votes for EU citizens to be heard.

It was all done and dusted before Hoyle took over.

"LONDON (Reuters) - Britain’s parliament will not vote on allowing EU citizens to take part in parliamentary elections or lowering the voting age to 16, according to an official document showing the provisional selection of amendments on Tuesday.
Parliament is debating a law which would call an early general election on Dec. 12.
Opposition parties had sought to use the law to change who is allowed to vote in the election, but their proposals were not selected by parliament’s deputy speaker. The government had said these would, if passed, force them to abandon the early election."

The Deputy Speaker referred to being Lindsay Hoyle.

59 seemed a bit put out when I said the LibDems were Extremists BT, but it's starting to become more widely acknowledged, this is Tom Harwood in the Telegraph,

"Having spent her leadership campaign cosying up to anarchist climate protestors and democracy-denying EU flag-wavers, Jo Swinson has since welcomed any old MP into the Liberal Democrat fold – regardless of their ideological position – so long as they are anti Brexit. Her party of turncoats is arguably standing on one of the most extreme policy agendas ever put to the electorate. Far from the image of sensible moderation the Liberal Democrats try to project at a national level, the longer this election goes on, the more the party's local campaigning tactics expose them as anything but...…."
