For individuals it could be Fees for endorsements or sponsorship deals.
Much more marketable if an athlete was the real winner once the cheats have been ousted.
This assumes they are still competing.

I,m sure the teams who came second would love their club name in the history book. Again, potential for bigger and better sponsorships

Players have investments with Nigel Wray as part of their salary. Sarries to appeal stating 'player co-investments do not constitute salary under the league regulations'.

What are you trying to imply?

Get it right in the 1st place. If you finish 5th in the olympics and 20 years later are awarded a bronze, do you think it makes any difference to you?

Saracens have now accepted the fine & points deduction
    Does make you wonder why
Either bang to rights or perhaps they wish to avoid further digging

The game stinks for me. All they are interested in is England.
Club Rugby died for me when they started messing Roth about. One guy with great vision could have turned them into a great club, but rather than be welcomed they had to fight city hall and obstacles were put in their way at every turn and it’s no wonder the owner turned away.

It was and is an old boys club as far as I am concerned, all clubs with their own narrow minded interests, with the possible exception of Exeter who created a perfect model.
There will more than likely be a rule change at the end of the season so as to avoid relegation. Note who the club directly above them is? .....Leicester.
There is always an undercurrent every season ringfencing crops up.
Rules made up as they go along. Leeds should have been thrown out of the league but they weren’t.
Roth were denied promotion so had to move grounds and even then as Champions for the second time in succession having been made to go through a two legged play off with the bottom team in the Premier at the time. They then had to overcome a second vote to be allowed in after the first vote was tied at 5-5. They then had to have Don Valley audited as a second venue before they were finally allowed in.

Talking about Saracens. Millers fans will remember that we played Liverpool in the FA Cup third round and lost 3-0 in 2001 when Emile Heskey tore us apart. On that same day in the Premiership Roth entertained the Mighty Saracens at Clifton Lane and beat them 19-8. To put this into context it would be like Wealdstone beating Man City or Liverpool by two or three goals.
    Incredible.
Anyway the owner got fed up and the club was only saved at the eleventh hour by two local chaps who, against all odds kept Roth at level 2 for more than 10 years, including getting to the play offs twice and finishing second once.

Unfortunately, the luck ran out and they got relegated and now are struggling to avoid another relegation in spite of terrific people trying against all the odds to enable us to compete against clubs with far bigger budgets.

For all the money in the game hardly any clubs turn a profit and what money there is gravitates to London clubs who get the best picks because of the differences in job opportunities.

Rugby Union is a magnificent game. Great players great people, particularly at the Lane. However this is overlooked for the glory of England.

It is very sad to see Roth getting turned over by teams who, had they played them 5 years ago Roth would have put 70 or 80 points on any one of them.
It’s all ok though, the Beeb / ITV wheel out the same pundits year on year for the 6 nations or World Cup and full houses are displayed at most venues, where many of the seats occupied tend to be made up of people on the lash with no interest in club rugby. It’s all Ok though because the coffers are full for another year.
It is another example of a fantastic product poorly marketed where the top level of club rugby is played out in front of a few hundred thousand viewers on BT when it should be on terrestrial.
Never mind though. England are doing OK.
