    Europa Officials

The three officials last night deserve a word of praise. I believe they were from Holland, and the experienced Ref had been officiating since the age of fif****. He let the game flow, and was in no way the centre of attraction. Some of our officials could learn a great deal from observing him.

Nice not to have that retched VAR in operation last evening.

VAR would've overturned the penalty decision which was given for a challenge outside the box, this would've saved Ruben's blushes... I assume he was designated penalty taker as it was his 100th turn out?

Have to agree about the officials they were very good, though in fairness both sides played without any cynical tackles or diving, so there job was made easy.

He's OK, apparently he was discharged after 90 minutes in New Cross.

Generally from what I have seen the European Refs seem much more competent, confident and willing to let the game flow than our home grown variety. Has to do with our organizing body I guess.

Of course there are exceptions and for me this is it!

Nicola Rizzoli. Fancies himself as another Pierlugi Collina, but unfortunately for him, and us, he is far from it. Much too willing to push his own presence into the game.
