Interesting to note that Barrow have beaten us more times than we've beaten them over the years.

In Sir Jimmy's 1970/71 promotion season we got the double over Barrow, the last time we played them. Finishing 22nd the following season, they were not re-elected to the Football League, even though Stockport and Crewe finished below them and have spent the last 47 years in non-league football.

Any chance this could be rained off? I heard about the Trent flooding in certain areas.

I can remember Barrow coming to Meadow Lane in the 60s and beating us 1-0, former Notts player Bobby Tait scoring the winner.
Bobby is a lovely guy who is a regular down the lane now.

This could be tougher than some think. Barrow have won 9 of the last 10 fixtures. It’s a proper test of our credentials. A positive result would set us up nicely for the next few fixtures.
