Var is a complete joke or should I say the so-called experts making the decisions on Var are a set of cowards afraid of making the hard decision, to say Trent-Arnold’s arm wasn’t in a unnatural position is laughable.
It's just another gimmick , totally takes the enjoyment out of football , fans carnt celebrate a goal etc , a clear handball tonight has been overuled , Liverpool then go on to score Kick technology out of football , it's just adding to more frustration , and further killing the game.

You can be sure it would have been given to Liverpool in front of the Kop.
Sterling's just been nudged in the back as well. VAR said 'No'.
Not much in it but that would have been given to Liverpool as well.
I wonder what VAR would have made of Gary Neville's challenge on Andy Liddle at Old Trafford.
They’d have red carded Liddle
Same old scousers , always the victim , totally out played today , yet win 3-1 , man city need to strengthen in defence , Stone's looks out of his depth , it's goals that count though , Carnt see anyone beating Kloss'es team now , worthy champions , not sure yet .
VAR has just done nothing positive. It looks inconsistent and corrupt to me. The game is simply corrupt altogether.
Goal line technology ez been a good thing.
Deciding whether sumdi wo offside or not cudda been a good thing but there is no margin of error. When tha kicks a ball the time from impact on thi foot and it leaving thi foot is several frames in slow motion film. In these marginal offsides in wun frame thar onside, in next frame thar offside. There should be a margin of error of +- 10 frames.
All the rest leave it up to ref on pitch, all subjective, if ref meks a b0ll0ck he meks a b0llock.
Agree totally SB
We all used to discuss in the pub or wherever refereeing decisions after a game & at work on Monday morning which was all part of going to football
We are now talking EPL language which might be ok to some if the VAR decisions were always conclusive but they're not 100% just like refs decisions so where's the improvement except in the bank balances of those involved in VAR
Just as a matter of interest has anyone on here been a qualified ref ?[at local level that is]
I agree we should leave it to the ref on the pitch to call those decisions
It was that pillock Jimmy Hill who was the architect of all this ref judging on TV

It's all these TV pundits that are making this worse than it should be, everybody has a view but this lot are given air-time!
Sky last night dedicated about 3 hours to debating if Alexander-Arnolds handball decided the game in Liverpools favour and if Pep should have been sanctioned for being over the top with his thanks to the ref! They need to get a grip FFS they are sending VAR this way to boost their viewing figures and they are asking ex referees to comment on decisions made by referees and then making a case out for both sides it's all wrong!
It's quite simple really, the Ref makes a decision as they have always done right or wrong and that decision stands and if they can defend the decision later that's their perogative.
If for any reason they feel they can't make a decision they go and look at a monitor for clearer clarification, not let some Twot in a room make the decision for them because his left testicle was offside!
These pundits and SKY in particular can debate the decision of course like we will down the pub, but inviting ex players and refs into the studio to cross examine the decision maker so they can boost ratings is shocking and for me this is the reason why Refs are scared to make decisions and then let someone at a monitor take an age to look at an incident 20 times from different angles over a 5-10 minute period which is wrecking the game even further.

It's making the referees lazy imo, they are more scared of a computer proving them wrong, rather than fans thinking they are wrong, it was better the old way, if we're going the tech route, why do we need a ref? May as well Ave a flamin android trundling round.
