Looks like by season 3 it's being used as it was intended in the Italian, German and Spanish league.
Love the fact the French bloke wants to make up his own rules. (In a strong french accent) how can the player be offside if he's only 1 cm Infront. Hahaha

The referre’s job is made much harder by players diving/cheating.
Premier league could give the responsibility back to the players. Stop cheating and VAR can go.

We’ve all done it though, used a tool for a purpose it wasn’t designed for
Take offside and VAR, daft discussions about a player being offside because he has an eyebrow/knee/knob one inch further forward. Why complicate it, draw the imaginary line using front foot only. That’s the name of the game after all.

Had an even bigger effect than I thought it would, has definitely changed something fundamental about the game, and not for the better.
Football is a simple game, that's why it's so popular, but now they've made it too complicated.
