Surely it would not be on the 12th December the day of the election?
    Why not Tuesday 3rd December?

Saints play Leicester tigers on 30th Nov 3pm. Will that clash?

Not a good draw. I saw the highlights of their game against Chippenham. They are big and bullying, not really the usual “express yourself” by passing the ball across the back five at home Curle side. Very big and physical.

    We will probably struggle.

Like we have struggled against the very big and physical sides in the National League. This season we have coped with that side of the game and actually if that is how Northampton play, I fancy us to be massively competitive.

Let’s see then. Top half L2 is hardly equivalent to a physical side in the NL.

To be fair our worse games have come against the more physical teams so I'm not holding out much hope. Having said that we seem to have some fighting spirit this season so we'll see.

May be a good thing to be the underdog - less pressure on us to win.

In terms of seeing how far we've come, gauging ourselves against a League 2 side etc I'm not sure we'll learn much either way. Cup ties simply aren't like League games.

You often find out more in the following games. For example if we were to win the tie and then lost lots in the league it tells you that game was raised too high. If we win and continue to win great but getting out of the dump is the most important thing.
