All done because of injuries. Or we could just ignore that fact.

yet we had a LB there and chose not to play him and went wi a RB at Lb for 2 games in a row being horsed 2 games in a row

Plus the Dillon change for Dixon didnt interfere with the other 3 defenders as Kovacevic had plenty games at RB and Kenneth and Webster were the first 2 picks at CB

moving Smith to Lb meant playing a CB at RB, absolutely f cuking nuts

By the fact Robbie made that choice makes it very clear to me he doesn't rate Sporle as a left back.

maybe so, but we mixed up the whole defence to accommodate one change

Watson had been mainly a right back for us last season and done well (not in an attacking sense)

The other changes were putting Brown in because Connolly was injured

Butcher was injured for Alloa and put him in midfield on his return at dumfries, where he is much better overall but he was not 100% on the day

Robson returned so do nan positions back to normal, Brown was doing OK for a couple games then got injured and he has gone with Watson and its worked

However its not been tombola stuff by any means imo and despite this 10 wins in 13 and where we want to be

Sporle at left back & Watson at centre half are the only changes that were needed. Round pegs, round holes. He ****ed about and ****ed it up. His 'reasons' weren't justified, yet he persevered the following week also. Lunacy.

However no one wanted Watson at centre back at that time as he was god awful vs East fife (the worst that night probably), that's why he would have been overlooked at that stage

No one was overly comfortable with Sporle at left back due to him looking dodgy there, star we saw is that Liam Smith is no Dillon when if comes to being comfortable on the opposite side

Sticking with it at dumfries was an error but don't think Sporle being left back and Smith right back would have prevented what was clearly just a poor day all round for us, Butcher was back in midfield after missing Alloa but not looking sharp etc and qots had a very good day on the other hand

Not the work of a tombola though, Watson is still our back up right back if Smith gets injured as Wardrop is still out of commission

Either way, we know that RN gets his selections right 9 times of 10 and sticks with what works in general, good to face trust in a manager again for first time in 5 years or so
