A pretty poor performance generally by Queens but it has to be said that Dundee Utd looked at least a class above with their pace, movement off the ball and passing which we struggled to match. Surprisingly, to me at least, the match stats show it was pretty even, bookings apart, but watching it looked like we were under the cosh quite a bit and Utd were in almost total control. Losing our centre half to injury was a blow and substitute Semples lack of pace and match fitness was shown up big-time. Unfortunately he paid the price by being hooked back off after we lost more goals but others were just as culpable for missed tackles and not picking up runners. As disappointing as the result and performance was we won't face too many opponents playing as high tempo as that, hopefully we can get one or two of the injured players back asap.

Dundee Utd clearly far more clinical in their finishing and the third goal is a bit embarrassing as the scorer waltzed past a very static defence. We created quite a few chance but if you do not take them you cannot win a game.
