Thread: Another Motherwell cap...

  1. #11
I also don't think he's completely rubbish or without potential either tbh...he certainly won't be the star some hope. But whether internationally he turns into a just-about-okay Christoph Berra a or best-forgotten Gary Kenneth is still pretty open.

Did well enough again, he's done his chances of a game in March no harm.

Looks to me that SC has chosen 'Shrek n Dec' as his centre half pairing for the play-offs.

I think that'll be a near game day call...it's so far yet I don't think Clarke will have decided which of the bad options available to pick from. And even though DG has done brilliantly, it's incredibly hard to impress at CB while playing with Motherwell...

Need to disagree ... if they look at stat's of when DG plays for us v when he's not playing, and our goals conceded pre-him arriving things are pretty stark.
Admittedly, the play-offs are 4 months out, but if his improvement / development rate continues on the current linear scale he could be Beckenbuerr mark II
    Kerrchingg !

Oh he's been brilliant for us, no doubt, but there's only so much any one central defender can do with Motherwell. Hartley's knee falls apart, say, or we need to play Tait regularly on the left while Grimshaw hits a poor spell as Carroll is injured and suddenly we could be shipping goals regardless of what DG is doing.

Gallagher has been a revelation since he joined us but he is but one part of our defence. If we want to upgrade this depertment then we have to source decent full backs.
