    Sam Stanton

Feel he deserves a mention. Took his goal so well today.
A guy who has been played out of position at times but get him running at defences in the final third and he is a real threat. The goal he created for Shankland at Tynecastle in the league cup was also because he pushed up against their back 4.
    Well done Sam.

I've been very critical of him at times (he is probably our most inconsistent performer) but he was excellent yesterday. Great goal at a good time, killed the match.

Great goal but I think Nicky Clark would have roasted him if he'd missed as the right thing to do was lay it off

The right thing to do was to score............

Thought C Smith was lost when he came on the other two younger lads slotted in better and contributed well.

One player i am always willing to give a chance. His goal yesterday just shows what he is capable of, not that i thought he would get that chance playing on the right!

But like Terry has said, he is not consistent enough, although he has been played too deep too often, something we all see he isnt tough enough for at times. Did come out on top of a few 50/50s though!

I thought he and Harkes had their best game together in midfield

Also he, Appere, Clark, and McMullen all tried to keep on their feet despite heavy tackles which is a real strength

    All round great team effort

If you’d seen him at Alloa you would have said he should never get another game - he was that bad. Agreed when he’s on it he adds a lot to the team but when he’s not playing well he tends to hide away somewhat and just doesn’t fancy it. Agreed was good yesterday and will have a part to play this season undoubtedly but in terms of where we hope to be next season he won’t be joining us for that particular journey I’m sorry to say.

Did anyone get pass marks for Alloa? Unfair singling a player out on what was a really bad showing from all the team!
