Fee to secure the services of Jarrad Branthwaite in January?

Folk are getting excited about the value of Jarrad Branthwaite. Some have even suggested that the Branthwaite fee should be used to fully pay off the debt to EWM and thus see the club into better times. This is utter fantasy. Those who usually are eventually proved correct are stating that the debt to EWM is approaching £3 million.

Branthwaite looks OK in comparison to the total dross around him. That is the height of it at the moment. The purchaser would be buying potential that may never be realised, like Wordsworth who is currently at Workington wandering lonely as a cloud. Branthwaite makes errors and is sometimes in the wrong area.

I reckon on £400,000 absolute maximum, probably less.

We know we SHOULD hold on to get more money for him, but our Directors will rip anyone’s hand off if they offer more than £250k. It’s not how much he’s worth, it’s about what we’ll take.
