190 to win and 1 wicket standing. All over bar the shouting.

That's the irritating thing, one game they give a couldn't care less impression and are embarrassing then after being the subject of media criticism they suddenly 'get stuck in' and put the effort in that should be the norm. A bit Lawrence like!!
I don't mind them not being the 'best' around but not a lack of the full on approach!
When they do give everything, whilst there are a lot of weak areas, they fully deserve the public's support. If they don't the sympathy levels drop, and deservedly so!!

It is a bit DCFC like. Anything that could have gone wrong in the first two or three months of the season did and just about anything that could have gone wrong in terms of debilitating illness and injury on the cricket tour also did.
Looks like both are improving now things have settled down a bit...hope so.

Can it be true? Have we really gone from zero to a trio - Burns, Sibley and Crawley - of likely looking openers?

I like Burns! Not the most gifted but boy does he graft. If all eleven had his attitude EVERY match then that's all one can ask!
Shame he's injured but if Sibley and Crawley follow his lead then, as rA says, that's real progress. Both of them have real talent so let's hope they prosper!!
After his catch in the last test Crawley should be full of confidence and Sibley looks the real deal!
