I didn't post from any political point of view but rather just that if there is an argument in favour of PR this is a very strong one.
    Fair enough

It's not meant to be a discussion thing because there are enough of those already. The purpose is to get an idea of how votes on here would compare in percentage terms to the real vote. Just like the real vote, this is a secret ballot. No need to go public and give reasons why, this is purely about numbers. Leave a comment if you wish, but try and leave the arguments to the other threads available. The question is simply as the thread title - How do you intend to vote at the General election?

The real idea of this poll wasn't to try and predict the election result because the sample was obviously too small, it was more to get an idea of how those who actually post on political threads on here compare to the nation as a whole. To make the comparison as fair as possible, those who can't be arsed to vote have been removed from calculations. As returning officer, I hereby declare the results are as follows:

Those who voted for right of centre parties on here (Conservative, Brexit, UKIP) = 56.8%

Those who voted for right of centre parties nationally (Conservative, Brexit, UKIP) = 45.7%

Therefore, the right of centre bigots on here are duly elected.

Very disappointing to see that right of centre Nazis win the day.

The working class man is his own worst enemy.

I posted the pic so you could make that comparison … not entirely sure every single right of centre poster on here is a bigot mind!

That was a joke! This was such a weird election anyway with Brexit being the main topic, I thinks it's wrong to draw too many conclusions. It's obvious that the two main reasons for Labour's poor showing were Brexit and Corbyn, but neither will be an issue next time around. That's why I think it's too early to claim Labour are finished. If they can find a decent leader the Tories will be there for the taking.

Don’t worry, no offence taken. Do you think they have enough time to find this new leader, restructure and gain back the trust of those lost voters? It’s a big ask. I think Boris will have to cock up monumentally for this to happen. Mind you …
