They're all voting Tory.
It's so depressing that tomorrow's election will be the first since I was in junior school that I won't even bother staying up to watch.
    Good post UTM,
As always, the tories will be sitting in their gentlemen's club laughing at how they've pulled the wool over the working man yet again.
They despise you and wouldn't give you the time of day on any personal level.
5 years of Johnson will wreck this country so wise up and stop voting f***** tory !!!

    Conservatives 53.16%
    Labour 31.64%
    LibDems 2.53%
    Brexit party 3.80%
    Green Party 2.53%
    SNP 1.27%
    Plaid Cymru 1.27%
    UKIP 1.27%
    IGFC 2.53%

I will compare this to the real vote when the figures are known.
I’m predicting there to be circa 8% between CON and LAB and a CON majority in the region of 28 seats.

You might be right, just vote for a traitor, an anti semantic, terrorist lover, an economic illiterate and scruffy git,you know it makes sense, I admire your philosophy . I have to laugh at the intelligence of labour supporters, get used to tomorrow night, losers.
Just admit it, real working people will not vote for a traitor.

I don't begrudge anyone who has a brilliant idea, takes a risk that pays off, or works their balls off getting a bigger slice of the cake, but these people can't do it on their own, they need a workforce to help them make a profit. Somewhere there is a balance, and I don't think we've found it when we have multi-billionaires and people scraping by on the minimum wage.

ps this poll closes in 2 hours, so keep voting.
Oh, for that balance! You describe democratic socialism, an adaptation of capitalism which works well in many European countries (notably the happier ones). It has 'socialism' in its title which confuses ranting undergrads (Hi BFP) but it is definitely not socialism. Sadly, it’s the thing we are missing in this election. Why? Because of the toxic nature of the hard left - JC's entry into the leadership contest was a sop to show that labour was 'oh so inclusive' but that backfired when Momentum (Militant Tendency for the Modern Age) went into action. With any labour moderate at the helm, the tories would be dead and buried.

Many people are driven by a desire for fairness or equality. Corbyn and his string-pullers are driven by ideologies which they believe will produce that fairness even though those ideologies have historically failed the working classes. Their starting point is wrong. Corbyn’s back-row consists of Stalinists, Communists, Marxists etc but with backgrounds mirroring the Tory front-bench: public schools, money, connections etc. They are about as far removed from the working man as the Bullingdon Club boys. They have a desire for power and control, and a dangerous collective narcissism.

Sid - I have read Marx and he's complicated. He didn't have 'a' theory, he had several and he evolved his views over time. HIS time. He did point out the failures of capitalism (still relevant today) but failed to produce a working alternative. Can anyone give an example where any far-left ideology has worked to the benefit of the working classes?

(Sid - always enjoy your reading recommends. Might I suggest Socialism for a Sceptical Age (Ralph Miliband) and The Fall and Rise of the British Left (Andrew Murray). They are a struggle at times – mainly with reality – but that’s just a viewpoint.

Edit - I have read 'some' Marx (not claiming to be an expert)

I suppose the toffs are all sat in the Pavis supping cocoa whilst the downtrodden proletariat have to make do in the tin shed of the Kop and their mugs of stewed tea. What a shocking world we live in.

So now you claim that Corbyn is "anti semantic"?

And you laugh at the intelligence of Labour supporters!

    Correct.

The pseudo intellectuals on here can write their 1,000 word essays trying to explain why people insist on voting against their own interests but 2 words in response. Boris and Johnson. If you haven’t worked out that his he and his ilk have one purpose in life, to keep themselves and their friends in power, than no amount of political theorising will help you.

I’m no massive fan of Jeremy Corbyn, and am not even sure he’d make a decent PM. But I have absolutely no doubt that he, along with the dogsh!t I’ve just picked up out of my garden, would be a whole lot better at it than the bloke who’s been ‘doing’ the job for the last 5 months.

You know that collective narcissim I mentioned ......... this idea that your viewpoint is correct and that others are voting against their own interests is a perfect example.

For the record, I spoiled my paper at the last 2 GEs and suspect I will do so again tomorrow. This has become an Unpopularity Contest where many are voting for the party they don't want, not the one they do. Sad times

Elite is right, I think the torys will win either majority or with the Brexit party but with Brexit and the aftermath then after four years there won't be another tory government for a long time.
