Thread: Burnley v Manchester City

playing what looks like park the bus, what does he expect? you have to pose some threat.. one shot on goal Mcneals tame free kick).. hit and hope to woods.. no one supporting him.. then wait till two down to make a change, very poor preparation for this game, and in game tactics. Manager needs to be on the game to have a chance against City, not just the players.. Did Dyche think we where good enough to park the bus, with 5 at the back most of the game? then to rely on one up front, with two defensive midfielders and the two wide men also playing at centre mid they where so narrow... just such a **** way to start this game.

Was anyone really expecting a different outcome ? Like I said in a previous post, any changes to the team, tactics, formation, whatever, would be as much use as re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titantic. City have toyed with better teams than us, the fact that we're even in the same division as City amazes me given the players we have and the reluctance of the board to sanction strengthening the squad. We were outplayed by a far better team, nowt to worry about, it was always going to happen.

The movement and pace the City players display is totally mesmerising. I just sat and watched in awe. We are at least a billion quid away from this lot. No point moaning, let's just try and nick something on Saturday? You are right sinkov, we cannot compete with Citeh. End of.

They were on the back end of a poor result at Newcastle and Pep had probably read the riot act. They came out last night and had something to prove and we were the unfortunate recipients of a team putting in 100% effort and who had the players and the skill to do what they did. Nothing new!

I was talking to my son who was doing his photographic bit before the game. He was down in the bottom corner where the away fans are and the City players were playing 6 v 6 right in front of us. Some of the touches were unbelievable to witness and we both remarked just how good they were.
