I totted up the W/D/L home record for the 27 years since the ground was redeveloped and the preceding 27 years when it was the decrepit but much loved old stadium. I took 1992/93 as the start of the new stadium, as that’s when three-quarters of the ground had been transformed.
I added the numbers up in my head, so they not be 100% accurate (but hope they are).
So, from 1992 to the end of the 2019 season, our home record was:
W - 250
D - 171
L - 200
And from 1965 to 1992, the record was:
W - 295
D - 166
L - 132
Obviously, we didn’t play the same number of games in each 27-year spell because we had quite a few seasons (about a dozen) in the earlier spell when we only played 21 home games a season.
I’ll let someone else do the percentages, but the 68 fewer defeats in the first spell seems quite a big difference.
