    Yes it was....

R.I.P. Bob Willis .A cricketing legend and demon bowler on his day.. Never forget him ripping through the Aussies with an eight wicket haul on a most memorable and highly unlikely victory.. Superb performance..

Bloody hell, I'm starting to feel a bit lonely, Clive James, Gary Rhodes and now Bob Willis, they've all spent so much time in my living room on't box.

I was actually at Headingley for that last day in 1981 when Bob took 8-43. It wasn't expected to take long for Australia to wrap the game up and, if I remember right, they opened the gates and let anyone daft enough to turn up for just a couple of hours cricket in for free. We were planning an afternoon out in the Yorkshire Dales that day, and decided we might as well take some butties and stop in at Headingley on the way, and then we saw history being made. When they show replays of the game I can still see my son running onto the pitch in a little red anorak after the last wicket was taken, he's older now than I was back then.

    RIP Bob.

Where does the time go sinkov? I was visiting my now deceased mum and dad and we decided to switch on the cricket to see the last rites. Like you say, the rest is history.
