    Situation at Macclesfield

Macclesfield players are refusing to play on Sat against Crewe as players have gone unpaid yet again.

As a group we'd like to inform the EFL and
Crewe Alexandra football club that the
game on Saturday won't be taking place
despite growing reports that's its business
    as usual.

This is down to the the fact that salaries
haven't been paid for last Month, we
haven't trained as a squad since last
Thursday due to the fact we have no
training ground but most importantly, the
game can't go ahead for the emotional
and mental wellbeing state of the players
which is currently at rock bottom.

We hope that our own fans who have
been tremendous, Crewe fans, and the
whole of the footballing community can
understand this decision with it being
such an important month for us all on and
    off the pitch.
Sorry state of affairs there as another winding up petition was delayed for a couple of weeks and even Sol Campbell has joined on this as is owed money by them.

Is Sol just unlucky or does bad luck follow him around? Maybe he used all his luck up at Arsenal 'cause they seemed to have had their fair share of it in his day.

Sad for Macclesfield after their heroics.

With the team they had when he played it wasn't luck that they had but brilliance.

Sol wants Macclesfield to be wound up.

Barrister Philip Currie, who represented Campbell, said Macclesfield owed his client about £182,000. He said Campbell also wanted the club to be wound up.

Would this not mean that the players would be left never getting the wages they are owed?

Can't imagine that would go down too well with the squad at his next club if so, seen as that's presumably "his" team.

Campbell now manages Southend. The money he is owed is I believe what he loaned the club when he was manager to pay the players wages. That is essentially how they saw out last season and probably explains why those players appeared more motivated than others to play their way out of trouble.

Totally agree. He may have done himself no favours at Notts, but did an unbelievable job at Macc.

Perhaps 'our Neal' would like to chip in on Notts Players' wages?
