Hmmm...very tough, I'd take a point now, tbh.

Against the supposedly 'lesser' teams (and I don't mean lesser than us before anyone points out our respective league positions!) we often don't turn up...no idea why.

Sadly, I think Carroll is the right option although that's a damning indictment of where we are...a free transfer crock replacing our record signing. Having said that, if we get, say, an hour of the best Carroll has to offer then he'll be almost impossible to live with and we could prosper. Mind, that's a pretty big 'if'.
